About Dr. Todd Testing & Evaluation Divorce Counseling & Psycotherapy Office Information

 Testing Time:

The average time for a child to be evaluated on the Wechsler Scale by Dr. Todd is two hours, but a longer time may be required, especially if the child is very young. Parents are asked to bring a high-energy snack such as fruit juice and a cereal bar with them, if the child requires a break.

 Additional Time:

Depending on the child and the circumstances, additional time is often required to obtain a short background history, discuss concerns of the parents or guardian, discuss results of the test in person or on the phone, report scores to a private school, if requested , and make recommendations based upon the test findings. All results are scored twice to insure accuracy, manually by Dr. Todd and then by computer software. Parents are notified that day by phone as to the test results. A five page written report is mailed to the parents or guardian, usually within two to three days of the testing session.
